Leading Air Cadet (LAC)

• 5 months of service as an AC

• CO's Recommendation

Corporal (Cpl)

• 5 months of service as an LAC

• Complete Proficiency Level 1 Training

• CO's Recommendation

Flight Corporal (FCpl)

• 6 months of service as a Cpl

• Complete Proficiency Level 2 Training

• CO's Recommendation

Sergeant (Sgt)

• 6 months of service as a FCpl

• Complete Proficiency Level 3 Training

• Apply to the Sergeant Rank Eligibility List (REL)

  • Fill out the REL Form

  • Provide a cover letter and resume, and any other documentation demonstrating your suitability

  • Score above 50% on your application (Reviewed by the staff)

• Be selected for a Sgt-Tier position

• CO's Recommendation

Flight Sergeant (FSgt)

• 6 months of service as a Sgt

• Complete Proficiency Level 4 Training

• Apply to the Flight Sergeant Rank Eligibility List (REL)

  • Fill out the REL Form

  • Provide a cover letter and resume, and any other documentation demonstrating your suitability

  • Participate in an interview conducted by a board of squadron staff

  • Score above 50% on your application and interview combined

• Be selected for a FSgt-Tier leadership position

• CO's Recommendation

WO2 / WO1

• 6 months of service as a FSgt

• Apply to the WO2 or WO1 Rank Eligibility List (REL)

  • Fill out the REL Form

  • Provide a cover letter and resume, and any other documentation demonstrating your suitability

  • Participate in an interview conducted by a board of squadron staff

  • Score above 50% on your application and interview combined

• Be selected for a WO2-Tier or WO1-Tier leadership position
